Matt Gross at MG Masonry

When you talk to MG Masonry, you'll get to talk to Matt Gross. He may look a little young to be a craftsman in the age-old tradition, but he's been a professional stone mason for close to a decade now.

Matt specialises in challenges, especially when they involve restoration jobs with a need to closely match stone and mortar using traditional techniques.

Matt also offers solid experience in constructing brand new stone buildings and structures. You'll notice in his gallery of photos that he offers a very broad range of styles.

MG Masonry has earned a solid reputation for high standards of workmanship, good communication and attention to detail. Read what some of our happy clients have said about us.

"Exceeded our expectations"

We engaged MG Masonry to complete significant stonework restoration to our 1900s villa, including stone replacement, and repointing of stone and brickwork. On completion, the work exceeded our expectations, returning the exterior of our home to its former heritage.

"...a craftsman"

With Matt we got; bespoke workmanship, an eye for detail, careful consultation, someone who listens to his clients, offers good advice and ultimately satisfaction - a craftsman. Our extensions are so well blended into the original that most people don't realise they are additions.

"We're delighted"

Matt Gross worked on our 1920s bungalow, replacing a number of worn/damaged sandstone blocks and damaged original bricks. He replaced the pointing on both the sandstone and bluestone covering the entire frontage. The work was completed on time and we are delighted with the final result.
